The moon has always caught the attention of mankind with its soft, glowing nature in the darkness. We, humans have always been fascinated with its natural beauty, giving it different names. So, would you be surprised to know that a Strawberry Full Moon will grace the night sky of June 11? The moon is not named strawberry for its color. Used by the Algonquian and the Ojibwe tribes, June’s full moon got its name to mark the ripening of June-bearing strawberries that are ready to be gathered. It actually appears with slight reddish or coppery or golden hues. The good news is that this full moon will appear full for about three days, from June 10 through the morning of June 12. June’s full ‘Strawberry Moon’ will be at its fullest on Wednesday night, June 11. But the best time to see it will be at dusk on Tuesday, June 10. So, clear up your schedule cause you might not wanna miss this!
